ReplyDeleteI don't even know where to begin with my comments... your update and the overall project is fantastic! I love the fact that you are using optics with the students. When I was in high school over 20 years ago, I was in honors classes and by the time I was a senior in high school, I took AP English and AP History, and I distinctly remember class discussions on political cartoons, which are great ways for students to see other perspectives. I also enjoyed that you have set up a blog for your class and have fully integrated technology, this is a huge step and applaud you on your efforts. Other areas that are a great addition to your class are the multiple Do Nows, for each class, use of Graphic Organizers and the Thesis Statement starters. These additions differentiate instruction, provide your students with choice and overall provides organization and scaffold for student learning. Please keep us updated on how the changes have produced student motivation and achievement.
