  1. Esther--I didn't think of taking one picture and cropping it in multiple ways to tell different stories. That was such a clever idea. What's great is the different story each image tells when you crop it differently. For instance, the image of the dog, if each of these images were shown individually, the response by the viewer may be very different.

    The one picture of just the dog's paw would be unrecognizable if this was the first picture that you were to see. One of the fun activities we do in my class at the beginning of the school year revolves around asking questions in science. Showing the students only a portion of a picture and having them design questions or using it as a prompt for discussion in English makes the creativity in the technique of cropping fun and interesting. Thanks for sharing.
